I was so excited to try their tea because it sounded amazing. When I received my order, only one of the two items arrived, so I contacted them. Things happen, no big deal right? Wrong. They said they were sending out the missing product, and to expect a shipping confirmation. I them receive an email saying they processed my order, great! Followed by another email saying it was canceled. Not great. I reached out, hoping that it just meant that they had charged me for the replacement by accident and they were still sending it, but no... they canceled it. Now that product is no longer available. So they refunded the money for that, but since I paid shipping i ended up paying $11 for a tiny little sample tin.
I definitely don't be ordering from them again.
I opened a case and still have not heard back and I can't reply to the case because it was a noreply address for the automated response. The phone lines are so full you cannot queue or leave a message for help. Sitting it chat queue forever but nobody ever responds.
The package was guaranteed by David's Tea to arrive before 25 Dec 2020 but nothing yet; not happy with David's Tea at all. I'm pretty close to calling my credit card company to reverse the charges with a complaint.
This company is a pure scam. Only their retail stores are quite transparent as you would be picking up your items and pay on the spot.
I placed an order on the 9th of Dec because they mentioned guaranteed Christmas delivery. They charged my credit card immediately, and I was hoping that the order would arrive before the holiday.
Turns out that although they charged me immediately, they never processed my order and never shipped the products I purchased. I contacted them twice via email, and called them three times spent hours. No one is going to respond you. Complete waste of time.
Now I'm going to have to contact my credit card company, report a fraud and get my money back.
Please stay away from these scammers.
Arrived quickly, within a week of ordering. The tea is fresh and delicious, I am currently drinking forever nuts, one of my favourites.
The only thing I’m disappointed in is the packaging. The box it arrived in was massive compared to the box of tea. I find that wasteful and not very environmentally conscious. Would be nice if they packaged their tea in more size appropriate packaging, to be less wasteful.
I placed my first order with them about 6 months ago. It was amazing, it took 3 days to process and ship and I really love their product. Recently I ordered again 11 days ago now. 4 days after I ordered I received an email saying my order would be processed within 5 days of placing the order. After a few days of waiting I figured I would just wait until the maximum processing time, 8 days passed. I've been trying to call them everyday now and have spent hours on hold. I tried to call again this morning and neither of their customer service numbers worked. I've been calling the same number for 3 days now but today it didn't work. I love their tea and their products but the fact that after 11 days of waiting and 3 days of trying to contact them I'm done.
Their customer service is atrocious. I placed an order and within 6 business days, I receive no update on my order, and it's impossible to connect with anyone live to cancel the order.
I had been a very long time customer of DavidsTea. For years now actually. But, just yesterday, at 7-8pm I place an order for $60 only to then get an email at 11pm (for the first time ever) of them having a Black Friday sale. I naturally tried to cancel my order so that I could re-place the order with the huge discounts, but there was no such option. On top of that, I spent over an hour waiting on the phone for customer service the next day, and also waited over an hour to FINALLY receive customer service through their online chat. I pleaded my case, and they basically kindly told me to F off.
I'm disgusted by this. Seriously and thoroughly disgusted. What kind of modern business functions this way? Why wasn't I emailed earlier? Why is there no option to cancel an order BEFORE IT HAS SHIPPED?? Why wouldn't they want to keep a customer that has literally spent over $150 in the past week ALONE??? They are disgusting.
Avoid them. Their tea is good, but you can find the same quality of tea elsewhere (trust me.. I know) I was only buying from them out of customer loyalty... which they obviously don't give a s__t about.
*EDIT* I just wanted to add this for anyone reading this review, look at the dates of all these reviews. 2019 reviews are 5 stars (and they are of people who bought in store). 2020 is when DavidsTea went online exclusively , shutting down many (if not all) of their stores, and look at the 2020 reviews... 1 star, 2 star ALL saying that their customer service, and respect are at an all time pathetic low. This speaks volumes for the reality of DavidsTea. Trust me... avoid this company.
Ordered tea 5 days ago still in the being processed stage sent request for a review of why more order is still being processed as they say on website it will be shipped in 2 days and still no response from anyone. Was told it would be 4 business days to ship to me so looks like will take 3 weeks to get tea. Dont order online from this company if you live in Western Canada!!!
